Aug 26, 2016 - High Speed Internet, Internet

No one likes long car rides, and there are few stresses in this world that compare with flying, no matter your destination. One of the most frustrating things about traveling with your family is the need to be connected to your phone, laptop, and tablet, but fighting to find a decent connection for one item, let alone a handful.

Labor Day is just around this corner, and millions of families in the US take to the streets and the air to take advantage of the long holiday weekend. If bumper-to-bumper traffic sounds terrible, try maintaining a Spotify playlist while driving through a dead zone.

If you are planning to take a trip next week, you will be happy to know that there are several solutions to your mobile WiFi problem that can save you a lot of complaining, headaches, and maybe even some stops at crummy diners too.

Ellipsis Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile WiFi Hotspot

At about the size of a playing card (3.1 x 2.2 inches), the Ellipsis Jetpack is the titan of the mobile WiFi hotspot. The better news? It only costs around $60. The Ellipsis is compact, sleek and attractive, and can connect up to eight different devices.

The Ellipsis can solve just about all of your travel needs, and it has a decent upload and download rate too, so even if the speed doesn’t match your home internet’s speed, you will be plenty impressed that something so small could be so powerful.

AT&T Unite Pro

This dual-band WiFi is a true powerhouse of a hotspot, and it will get you and your family through any and every internet connection issue you might face out on the road or at the airport. The battery is bigger and better than most, and because it is dual-band, it can support a ton of devices.

If you prefer AT&T, the Unite Pro is a no-brainer, but it does come with a hefty price tag: $199.99 without a contract or $50 with one.

Netgear Zing Mobile Hotspot (Sprint)

This little guy can hold up to some of the big boys, and with at $49.99 price tag (with contract), you are definitely going to get your money’s worth. Though the WiFi range is relatively short, it does boast external antenna ports and runs on Sprint’s LTE network. It looks like a small digital camera, but it definitely packs a punch.

Sprint supports this guy, and it can even handle global roaming. Plus, it has a whole bunch of neat features that will keep you interested in setting it up.

T-Mobile 4G LTE Hotspot Z915

The T-Mobile hotspot Z915 is definitely impressive, and for the price ($109), you get a lot of power in this small device. T-Mobile’s LTE coverage supports the Z915, and it is geared toward car rides through any and every area.

The Z915 also has a micro USB charging port, and the power is enough to connect up to 10 devices with high-speed internet. The Z915 is also available for monthly subscription for $4.58 a month with a 24-month contract.
